Workshop 1
The topics covered in this workshop include the different types of waste; how waste is dealt with in Canada; what environmental sustainability is; the differences between reduce, reuse, and recycle; basic environmentally sustainable practices; and thinking about change.
Workshop 2
The topics covered in this workshop include the seven "R's": rethink, refuse, reduce, repurpose, reuse, recycle, and rot. The workshop discussed the order of priority for each of the seven "R's" and the problems with recycling in Canada.
ENVIRONMENTAL ADVANCED
Workshop 1
The topics covered in this workshop include the types of pollution; biodiversity loss; resource depletion; Earth Overshoot Day; ocean acidification; over-population; and climate change. The goal of this workshop is to open youth's eyes to the world around them and potentially inspire change.
Workshop 2
The topics covered in this workshop include sustainability; living a zero-waste lifestyle; rethinking methods of transportation; environmentally sustainable diet; consumption; the product life cycle; making your voice heard; and careers in environmental sustainability.
